GreenTec Awards celebrate 10th anniversary

For the 10th time the GreenTec Awards are looking for the best and most innovative projects and products concerned with sustainability, green lifestyle and environmental protection. Every person, company or institution with an exciting idea can apply until September 15, 2016.

Texpertise Network becomes guardian of „Textiles & Fashion by KUNERT“
True to the motto “Smarter! Greener! Future!” the annual search for technical, eco-friendly innovations demonstrating that sustainability and economic efficiency can go hand in hand has begun. In this year’s contest you can apply for the following categories: Construction & Living, Communication, Energy, Galileo Wissenspreis (ProSieben), Lifestyle, Mobility, Recycling & Resources, Sports, Textiles & Fashion by KUNERT, Travel, WWF Galileo Green Youngster Award (14 to 18 years). Texpertise Network by Messe Frankfurt is the guardian of the category “Textiles & Fashion by KUNTERT” this year.

Gala will be completely climate neutral
A jury of 70 people from the economy, science and entertainment will evaluate the applications. Both the public online voting and the jury meeting at the end of February 2017 will determine the winners. As in previous years TÜV NORD will certify the whole competition process. The actual award ceremony will take place on May 12, 2017 in Berlin. Due to the GreenTec Awards’ 10th anniversary the gala will feature the very best green innovations, 3,000 top-class guests, as well as the Who’s Who of the environment al industry on the Green Carpet. The planning and implementation of the gala are 100 percent climate neutral.

About the GreenTec Awards
Since the foundation in 2008, the GreenTec Awards have become Europe’s biggest environmental and economy award and provide a public stage for green technologies. Innovations, the economy, science and celebrities get together for the annual award ceremony to support ecological commitment and passion for technology. The initiators and organizers Marco Voigt and Sven Krüger are very committed to that goal. Over 100 partners, 500 ambassadors and 40 exhibitors enable this unique event. The application period of the upcoming contest in 2017 mark the beginning of the 10th anniversary of Europe’s biggest environmental award.
