From the use of renewable energy and production-process optimisation to new products and machines: tape specialists Framis Italia are taking extensive measures to reduce the negative impact on the environment. Making their third presentation at Texprocess, the Italian company is this year spotlighting their ecological approach along the entire process chain within the framework of ‘Sustainability at Texprocess’. “We not only make films and tapes that can be processed with a solvent-free adhesive – some tapes are made to 80 percent of recycled PET – we also design and supply the machines that process these films and tapes”, says Andrea Rebonato, Marketing Manager of Framis Italia.

As a member of the Green Match programme financed by the EU and the Lombardy region, Framis Italia plays a leading role in promoting research and development and the use of the most revolutionary solutions possible in the production of polyurethane-based films, tapes and laminated products. In this case, too, everything revolves around environmentally-friendly technologies and sustainable products.

Thanks to the company’s elastic tapes, fabrics and materials of all kinds can be joined without seams for sportswear (which is where they originated), fashion, underwear, swimwear and shoes. This saves energy and materials. And it all happens on the basis of 40 years of experience and Italian flair. Sometimes, the tapes are also used as decorative elements or as reinforcement.
