From feather to finished dress

This is Industrie 4.0 in practice! At a joint exhibition stand, Epson and Deutsche Mode-Institut [German Institute for Fashion], together with caddon and ColorDigital, present the solution for an international, true-colour workflow. During the texprocess, ColorDigital and Epson demonstrate the complete application, from the multispectral sourcing of colours and objects, to the true-colour output of a cutting pattern onto paper or textiles, just as in the 3D simulation. Here, the innovative capabilities of DMIx® partners caddon, EFI™ and Assyst are utilised.

For the first time, ColorDigital also presents a cloud-based solution, which enables networked working processes with the multispectral data based on DMIx®.

In the demonstration “Feathers of the Firebird”, the technology currently revolutionising global colour communication – from creation via printing, all the way to the final product – is exclusively presented live at the texprocess on a special edition designer evening dress from the new collection by BASLER Glamour in Shape.
